Discovery China

There were two thinkgs I found very interesting about the documentary. One was how similar the paddy part was to the 'human interest pieces' news networks became fond of while the economy was in a downward spiral. It made me pretty sad that while the major cities were advancing at a dizzying pace, the rural areas did not seem to be advancing culturally or tecnologically at all. The second thing that interested me was the Mongolian Horse Race. My sister loves horses and as soon as I saw them I called my sister over so she could see them too. Turns out she already knew about them, and she gave me more facts about it than the documentary did, but it was still cool.
