Over my break I was able to stay active in chinese by practicing with native speakers. I was able to practice three times at different Asian restaurants. I was lucky to a have a chinese waiter all three times and I started by asking "ni3 shi1 zongguoren ma?" Each time they said yes and said "wow, you speak mandarin" and I would say "wo3 shi1 xuesheng." Each waiter was very excited and pleased to learn that I was learning thier language.

I think Chad's blog is the funniest because I can actually see him trting to put on a Chinese accent and talk to the any Chinese person.
